Braille keyboard is now available for Android

Google is very proud to announce the availability of a new virtual keyboard in Braille, via TalkBack. A specific keyboard, composed of six keys, which will allow, via various combinations, to display a letter or a symbol. Pressing 1 will display the letter A, while pressing 1 and 2 simultaneously will display the letter B, for example.

Obviously, the keyboard can be used through various applications, to perform a web search, to send an SMS or even to post on social networks.

Note that at present, the Braille virtual keyboard is only available in English and that it is currently being deployed on all terminals running Android 5.0 and later.
